Neybor was launched in Brussels with a bold mission: to redesign urban housing by
blending architectural quality, shared living, and a sense of community. The founders
identified a gap in the housing market for flexible, all-inclusive, and well-designed
spaces tailored to young professionals and remote workers. The first buildings opened
in Brussels central neighborhoods, offering fully furnished apartments with shared
kitchens, lounges, and community events.

Neybor began scaling operations by acquiring and retrofitting more buildings. Partnerships with local architecture firms and art curators helped define a strong visual and cultural identity. The coliving model proved especially relevant in a post-COVID world where people craved connection and flexibility in housing. Neybor established itself in Brussels, focusing on quality of experience rather than just rapid expansion.

Neybor raised €10 million in funding, partly through impact investing platform Ecco Nova, with ambitions to reach 300 rooms by 2025. The funding allowed Neybor to scale its pipeline, expand its team, and improve tech-enabled resident services. Sustainability remained a key focus, with most buildings being retrofits rather than new constructions. Neybor doubled down on its brand as more than a housing provider — a lifestyle offering grounded in design and community.
